316 stainless steel plate is a grade under the American standard, belonging to stainless, heat-resistant, and corrosion-resistant steel. It is austenitic stainless steel, and according to the national standard, it is 0Cr17Ni12Mo2. It is a better stainless steel than 304, with better corrosion resistance than 0Cr19Ni9 in seawater and various other media, mainly due to its resistance to pitting corrosion.
