316Ti (UNS S31635) is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. Compared to traditional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as 304, 316 alloys are more resistant to total corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion.

They also provide higher creep, stress fracture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. High-carbon alloy 316 stainless steels are susceptible to sensitization and can form grain boundary chromium carbides at temperatures of approximately 900 to 1500°F (425 to 815°C), which can lead to intergranular corrosion.
